The Photography Track program provides students with technical and theoretical knowledge in photography and video, a curriculum that combines technological study in a digital and analog work environment, and academic classes focusing on practical research in the fields of photography and animation
Basis-Building a Foundation to Your Future In the latter years of the program students are encouraged to make personal curriculum choices, depending on their desires and art path, with the support and counsel of faculty. Classes are taught by leading artists and lecturers, with professional achievements both the local and international arenas, and the program hosts leading local and internal artists teaching workshops and semestral courses.
Basis-A Knowledge-Expanding Foundation During their first two years Track students also attend Painting and Photography Foundations classes. These classes help them orient themselves in a multidisciplinary world, developing a flexible and open approach to all mediums. Aimed at helping students make the most of this curriculum, the Basis School has developed a unique academic program designed to broaden horizons by integrating the study tracks of all departments. This activity references materials taught in all tracks, connecting between them and establishing their association with other worlds of content, both immediate and far-flung.
Basis-A Photographic Foundation During their four years of study, students specialize in all areas of photography, and develop technical and conceptual skills that open up a broad range of professional options for them. This stems from the understanding that photography has permeated every field of life and creativity, in art, science, media, research, and society.
Basis A Multi-Dimensional Foundation In addition to photography classes, students attend a range of complementary classes designed to expand their expertise, including a constructivist drawing class teaching 3-dimensional, geometric and organic drawing, a skill required in painting for sketching ideas for personal use and presentation. An analytical composition class develops spatial visualization and analysis of work component relations. Classes in poetry, music, digital thinking, and others expand understanding of the core concepts relevant to all plastic art mediums and other art forms, and an art history class is also taught in the unique Basis approach that includes the history of photography.
