Nurit Sharet

Nurit Sharett started out as a stills photographer and after over a decade of living in Switzerland where she also worked as a theatre lighting technician, She returned to Israel and went on to study video art and film.
Sharett's video art deals with the connection between personal biography and the Israeli society. Her work focuses on issues such as identity, gender, minorities and crises in the Israeli society. In her work Sharett incorporates first-person personal text, precise camera work and original soundtrack that create a gamut of poetic documentary work.
