Born in Kibbutz Ein HaMifratz in 1981, Hadas Satt is a photographer who lives and works in Tel Aviv.
Satt has a B.F.A. in Photography and an M.F.A. in Fine Arts, both from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design.
The starting point of her work lies in the tension created by the artificial-cultural perception of what is commonly accepted as ‘natural.’ Her work explores the relationship of photography with the representation of nature, where the camera serves as a documenting device, and, at the same time, as a tool that organizes and re-engineers nature.
In 2013, Satt held a solo exhibition “Doors To Manual” at the Hezi Cohen Gallery, and in 2017, she presented another solo exhibition “A Shade Lighter” at the RawArt Gallery. In addition, she has exhibited in a variety of venues in Israel and abroad, including the Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art, the Haifa Museum of Art, the Israel Museum and the Moscow International Biennale for Young Art.
