Ruth Lorand

A professor of philosophy at the Department of Philosophy at the University of Haifa, specializing in the philosophy of aesthetics. Holds a Ph.D. from Tel Aviv University (1985).
In her research and publications, Prof. Lorand deals with philosophy of art and beauty, concepts and paradoxes, problems of order and disorder, as well as the history of philosophy in the 17th and 18th centuries.
Since 2012, she has been painting in oil.

Academic positions:
Since 1971 she has been lecturing at the Department of Philosophy at the University of Haifa, and has taught in various institutions in Israel, including: the Open University, Camera Obscura (Tel Aviv and Haifa), the Technion, Tel Hai Academic College, Oranim Academic College, Max Stern Academic College of Emek Yezreel, and others.
